To monitor the pressure inside the coronary artery, create a wireless pressure sensor with an ellipse and a circle.

PROJECT TITLE :

Design a Wireless Pressure Sensor with an Ellipse and a Circular Shape to Monitor the Pressure within the Coronary Artery

ABSTRACT:

In this paper, the design and modeling of a wireless pressure sensor that can monitor blood pressure within the coronary artery with the assistance of a capacitive pressure sensor were presented. The sensor would use a capacitive pressure sensor. A variable capacitor has been introduced into the pressure sensor in order to allow for the adjusting of the resonance frequency, which ranges from 26.78 to 27.09 MHz and is dependent on the applied pressure (0–30 KPa), the size of the sensor, and the human blood pressure, which ranges from 0–220 mmHg. Both an ellipse and a circle were considered for the design of the capacitive pressure sensor. Both of these shapes were evaluated for how well they measured capacitive sensitivity and how much diaphragm deflection they caused. In addition, the thickness of the diaphragm that is associated with the capacitive pressure sensor that has an ellipse and a circular shape was changed from 0.1 m to 0.5 m, while the cross-section area was maintained at 1 mm 2 throughout. According to the findings, a highly sensitive invasive sensor with a circular and ellipse capacitive pressure shape and a smaller size of one millimeter square exhibited high levels of activity. The readings for the Ellipse capacitive pressure sensor had a sensitivity of 7.73 ff mmHg 1, while the readings for the circular shape capacitive pressure sensor were 9.94 ff mmHg 1. The software COMSOL Multiphysics was used to simulate the deflection of the diaphragm, while MATLAB was used to simulate the changes in resonance frequency, capacitance, and capacitive sensitivity.
