Energy Efficiency and Fire Prevention Integration in Green Buildings

ABSTRACT:

Green buildings are designed to be sustainable, efficient, economical and to improve the life quality of users and nearby residents. Buildings with one hundredpercent windows, known as glass skin, are the most hunted for industrial occupancy, for being aesthetically lovely, elegant and generate a way of technology and power, although it will gift bigger expenses in energy consumption and gift higher fireplace risk situations for its occupants. The HVAC (Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning) system is the largest energy shopper, repre-senting up to forty eightpercent of all the final electrical energy consumption. Several factors will influence a building energy efficiency and fireplace safety, such as larger or lesser glasses space, the thermal inertia of the building materials and the utilization of sustainable materials such as inexperienced roofs. The major contribution of this work is to integrate the analysis of fireside and energy potency with the necessities of green buildings standards. During this work, 2 different glass space buildings are analyzed; a glass skin and another building with 40percent window area; accounting for the entire energy use of the HVAC system as the expansion of the fireplace and the evacuation of the building.
