Reliability-Map-Guided Phase Unwrapping Method

ABSTRACT:

Path-following algorithms are vital elements of phase unwrapping methods and gift the merits of conciseness upon approach and potency throughout operation. These algorithms employ information from part residues or knowledge quality, sometimes in an independent mode for the difference between the distribution discreteness of residues and also the distribution continuity of knowledge quality values. Residues are a half of discontinuity boundaries, and poor data quality suggests where discontinuity boundaries lie; a combined application of these would lead to higher effects in unwrapping. In this letter, a completely unique priority-map-guided phase unwrapping methodology is proposed, and therefore the proposed priority live, which is termed reliability, is a combination of the gap from residues and knowledge quality. The definition of reliability ensures locations of long distances from residues and sensible data quality values with high priority in the unwrapping path, and locations close to residues with poor knowledge quality, which are liable to be discontinuity boundaries, are set as low priority. Such a priority map design provides a additional reliable theme than classic path-following algorithms. Through experiments and the ensuing analysis, the robustness and potency of the proposed phase unwrapping technique are demonstrated.
