QoS-aware cell association in 5G heterogeneous networks with massive MIMO

ABSTRACT:

5G cellular networks aim to enhance the association speed to ensure ultra-low latency (e.g., to support real-time video streaming service) through heterogeneous environments. HetNets composed of various sorts of cells (e.g., macrocells and tiny cells) are the key direction of 5G network style. In this article, we have a tendency to initial introduce the key features and highlight resource management problems in 5G HetNets. We have a tendency to then concentrate on the cell association downside of multiple classes of users in HetNets. Users in numerous categories have completely different information rate requirements and can opt for to go with the cell(s) (e.g., a macrocell or small cells) that yield(s) the highest data rate.
