PROJECT TITLE :

5G Multi-RAT LTE-WiFi Ultra-Dense Small Cells: Performance Dynamics, Architecture, and Trends

ABSTRACT:

The ongoing densification of little cells yields an unprecedented paradigm shift in user expertise and network design. The foremost notable change comes from cellular rates being such as next-generation WiFi systems. Cellular-to-WiFi offloading, the quality modus operandi of recent years, is so shifting towards a true integration of each technology families. Users in future 5G systems can therefore probably be in a position to use 3GPP, IEEE, and other technologies simultaneously, thus as to maximize their quality of expertise. To advance this high-level vision, we have a tendency to perform a completely unique performance analysis specifically taking the system-level dynamics under consideration and therefore giving a true account on the uplink performance gains of an integrated multi radio access technology (RAT) solution versus legacy approaches. Additional, we have a tendency to advocate for an enabling design that embodies the tight interaction between the various RATs, as we have a tendency to lay out a standardization roadmap ready to materialize the envisaged design. 3GPP-compliant simulations have also been applied to corroborate the rigorous mathematical analysis and the prevalence of the proposed approach.
