A Smart Parking Lot Management System for Scheduling the Recharging of Electric Vehicles

PROJECT TITLE :

A Smart Parking Lot Management System for Scheduling the Recharging of Electric Vehicles

ABSTRACT:

In this paper, we propose a centralized electrical vehicles (EVs) recharge scheduling system for parking heaps employing a realistic vehicular mobility/parking pattern specializing in individual parking lots. We have a tendency to think about two different varieties of EV based mostly on their mobility/parking patterns: one) regular EVs; and a pair of) irregular EVs. An extensive trace-primarily based vehicular mobility model collected from the Canton of Zurich is employed for the regular EVs, and a probabilistic pattern designed on top of this trace is used for modeling the behavior of irregular EVs. To the extent of our data, this is the first EV charging scheduling study within the literature that takes into account a realistic vehicular mobility pattern focusing on individual parking lots. We have a tendency to compare the performance of our proposed system with 2 well-known basic scheduling mechanisms, first come 1st serve and earliest deadline initial, with regard to 2 objective functions: one) maximizing the full parking lot revenue; and a couple of) maximizing the full range of EVs fulfilling their necessities. Comparison results show that our proposed system outperforms well-known basic scheduling mechanisms almost about each objectives. Parking tons managing the recharging of a high number of EVs can greatly benefit from using such recharge scheduling systems in the context of good cities.
