Energy Efficient Clustering Protocol for Large-Scale Sensor Networks
PROJECT TITLE :
Energy Efficient Clustering Protocol for Large-Scale Sensor Networks
ABSTRACT:
Because of the energy limit of sensor nodes, prolonging lifetime of wireless sensor networks (WSNs) could be a big challenge. This challenge becomes even more essential in giant-scale sensor networks, in that a lot of energy is consumed as a result of of a lot of data collections and packet transmissions. It is believed that clustering-primarily based protocols are the best selection for such reasonably WSNs. In this paper, we have a tendency to propose a clustering protocol referred to as fan-formed clustering (FSC) to partition a giant-scale network into fan-shaped clusters. Based mostly on this clustering theme, completely different energy saving methods are proposed, like economical cluster head and relay choice, locality of re-clustering, easy however robust routing and hotspot answer. Performance analysis demonstrates that the proposed FSC will efficiently save energy, which is a lot of better than hybrid, energy-economical, and distributed clustering in terms of each energy saving and packet assortment rate.
