ABSTRACT :

Mobile payments have been a key driver of socio-economic development in rising markets. Factors like advancements in technology, socioeconomic conditions, and also the high penetration rate of mobile devices are driving m-payment development in bound emerging markets. Yet different factors are hindering any development. This department is half of a special issue on IT in Rising Economies.
