ABSTRACT :

Programmatic interfaces for Internet applications have created new opportunities for vendors to make developer ecosystems. Such interfaces have conjointly become a core feature that developers expect from any Web application. In this special issue, the guest editors collect a range of contributions that address some of the challenges of coming up with fashionable Internet service APIs, take a shut study the underlying technologies, and give examples of the real-world impact of programmatic Web interfaces.
