Isolated DC-AC Converter with an Unidirectional Single-Stage Three-Phase Soft-switched Mode

PROJECT TITLE :

A Unidirectional Single-Stage Three-Phase Soft-switched Isolated DC-AC Converter

ABSTRACT:

An innovative single-stage soft-switched, three-phase dc–ac converter topology is presented in this study. Grid integration of solar sources, fuel cell, etc. is a target for this topology, which facilitates unidirectional DC to ac power transfer. Because of the high frequency magnetic isolation, the system's volume, weight, and cost have all been reduced. In the dc-side converter, a sine-wave pulsewidth modulation is used. The dc-side converter is soft-switched for much of the line cycle, even though it is high-frequency switched. The active switches on the ac side of the converter are switched at line frequency, resulting in minimal switching losses. High-voltage blocking fundamentally slow semiconductor devices can be used to provide high-voltage ac output thanks to the ac-side converter's line frequency switching. A cascaded multi-level framework for direct medium voltage ac grid integration is also proposed in this paper. Analysis of nonidealities like transformer leakage and switch capacitances is covered here. Construction of a 6-kW 3-phase laboratory prototype begins. The proposed topologies have been proven to work through simulation and experimentation.
