A distributed DC grid-connected PV system with autonomous output voltage-sharing control based on a three-port converter

PROJECT TITLE :

A Three-port Converter Based Distributed DC Grid-connected PV System with Autonomous Output Voltage-Sharing Control

ABSTRACT:

Using hybrid-connected three-port converters (TPCs), a distributed dc grid linked photovoltaic (PV) generation setup is proposed in this paper. The suggested configuration and control technique achieves distributed maximum power point tracking (MPPT) and autonomous voltage sharing control. The suggested system comprises of several TPCs with gentle switching and low voltage stress controlled by pulsewidth modulation + phase shift (PPS). There is an individual MPPT for each TPC, and the output ports are connected in series to interface with a high-voltage dc bus, while the bidirectional ports are connected in parallel to construct a low-voltage (LV) dc bus for each TPC's output. TPCs may transport mismatched power across the LV dc bus, and power and voltage balancing can be achieved at the HV output side. A bidirectional port's output voltage can be shared by controlling the voltage reference in a linear relationship with the module's own voltage and current. The design is completely modular. The Routh-Hurwitz criterion is used to demonstrate the system's stability using the given control approach. Simulation and experimental data are used to demonstrate the proposed setup and control strategy's effectiveness.
