Mobility-Aware Uplink Interference Model for 5G Heterogeneous Networks - 2016

ABSTRACT:

To fulfill the surging demand for throughput, 5G cellular networks would like to be additional heterogeneous and abundant denser, by deploying more and a lot of tiny cells. In particular, the quantity of users in each tiny cell will change dramatically thanks to users' mobility, ensuing in random and time varying uplink interference. This paper considers the uplink interference in an exceedingly 5G heterogeneous network, that is jointly coated by one macro cell and many tiny cells. Primarily based on the Le´vy flight moving model, a mobility-aware interference model is proposed to characterize the uplink interference from macro cell users to little cell users. In this model, the overall uplink interference is characterised by its moment generating function, for each closed subscriber group (CSG) and open subscriber group (CSG) femto cells. Similarly, the proposed interference model could be a function of basic step length, that may be a key velocity parameter of Le´vy flights. It's shown by both theoretical analysis and simulation results that the proposed interference model provides a versatile means of evaluating the system performance in terms of success chance and average rate.
