A New Rule for Cost Reassignment in Adaptive Steganography - 2017

ABSTRACT:

In steganography schemes, the distortion operate is employed to outline modification prices on cowl components, which is distinctly vital to the protection of contemporary adaptive steganography. There are many successful rules for reassigning the costs outlined by a given distortion function, which will promote the safety level of the corresponding steganographic algorithm. During this paper, we have a tendency to propose a completely unique price reassignment rule, which is applied to not one however a batch of existing distortion functions. We realize that the prices assigned on some pixels by several steganographic ways might be very completely different while these methods exhibit shut security levels. We call such pixels “controversial pixel”. Experimental results show that steganalysis options aren't sensitive to controversial pixels; thus, these pixels are appropriate to hold additional payloads. We tend to name this rule the controversial pixels previous (CPP) rule. Following the rule, we tend to propose a cost reassignment scheme. Through intensive experiments on several types of stego algorithms, steganalysis features, and cowl databases, we tend to demonstrate that the CPP rule will improve the protection of the state-of-the-art steganographic algorithms for spatial pictures.
