Spectrally Compatible Waveform Design for MIMO Radar in the Presence of Multiple Targets - 2018

PROJECT TITLE :

Spectrally Compatible Waveform Design for MIMO Radar in the Presence of Multiple Targets - 2018

ABSTRACT:

This Project investigates the matter of the spectrally compatible waveform style for multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) radar in the presence of multiple targets and signal-dependent interference. Unlike the existing approaches to planning the waveform for a single target via output signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio (SINR) maximization, a new technique is proposed to deal with a a lot of general problem, i.e., coming up with a spectrally compatible waveform for multiple targets, by minimizing the waveform energy of the overlayed space-frequency bands underneath constraints of waveform similarity and individual SINR requirements. Due to the existence of signal dependence, the formulated optimization drawback is NP-onerous. Toward this finish, an iterative algorithm is developed. Concretely, at each iteration, the receive filter is 1st obtained with the help of the minimum variance distortionless response methodology, then the transmit waveform is optimized by using the dual ascent method. Both the convergence and asymptotic optimality of this algorithm are mentioned. Numerical simulations are provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach.
