Proposal for defining voltage dip-related responsibility sharing at a point of connection

PROJECT TITLE :

Proposal for defining voltage dip-related responsibility sharing at a point of connection

ABSTRACT :

Modern customers use many electronics devices that are quite sensitive to the standard of power provide. Voltage dip is a vital power quality (PQ) issue that can cause harm to numerous customers' devices and might result in partial or complete interruption of the operation of an installation. Hence, a client ought to understand the approximate range and types of voltage dips that may happen at the point of association (POC) so that he will take preventive live to guard his installation from voltage dip-related issues. In the recent years, the EN50160 standardisation committee has developed a classification methodology to define voltage dips. The committee additionally suggested that voltage dip-connected responsibilities ought to be clearly defined in the standard to resolve disagreements among the various parties in the network. During this study, initial voltage dip simulation is finished on a typical medium voltage (MV) network, and approximate number of events in a very year at a customer??s POC is estimated. Furthermore, the guidelines are proposed to distinguish voltage dip-related responsibilities of the involved parties within the network. Finally, a case study is described in that the proposed pointers regarding voltage dip-connected responsibilities are applied.
