ABSTRACT :

Wireless communication could appear like old news with Wi-Fi and 3G readily out there, however competition is heating up between corporations that need to offer you wireless streaming of audio, photos and even video directly in your home. Sonos offers its ZonePlayer, that, in league with alternative ZonePlayers, uses a proprietary system referred to as SonosNet to form a wireless network. Each ZonePlayer will communicate with all the others, and share the music and audio content stored there. A controller, that is also looped into SonosNet, tells every ZonePlayer what you would like it to play.
