PROJECT TITLE :

Experimental Study of Propagation Characteristics in an Open-Trench Drain

ABSTRACT:

As terrestrial wireless communication systems become a lot of ubiquitous, there's a rising need to review the propagation characteristics of every habitable surroundings therefore that effective communication systems will be established. Past research showed that open-trench drains, whose presence is prevailing in several Asian cities, make up a further channel in which radio signal will adequately travel. During this letter, we tend to have additional our studies within the propagation characteristics of an open-trench drain to delve into areas that haven't been previously reported. Specifically, we present field measurement results of an open-trench drain for line-of-sight (LoS) and non-line-of-sight (NLoS) portions at 3 frequencies (900 MHz, two.four and five.eight GHz) for three completely different polarizations, specifically, vertical-vertical (VV), horizontal-horizontal (HH), and horizontal-vertical (HV) polarizations. Subsequently, we have adopted K-suggests that clustering approach to method the obtained information in deriving path loss exponent n and their associated standard deviation. Comparison is created of the n values, along with the standard deviation values, before and after using K-means clustering.
