Geometric Quantification of Features in Large Flow Fields
PROJECT TITLE :
Geometric Quantification of Features in Large Flow Fields
ABSTRACT:
Interactive exploration of flow options in large-scale 3D unsteady-flow knowledge is one amongst the foremost difficult visualization problems nowadays. To comprehensively explore the complicated feature spaces in these datasets, a proposed system employs a scalable framework for investigating a mess of characteristics from traced field lines. This capability supports the examination of numerous neighborhood-based geometric attributes united with alternative scalar quantities. Such an analysis wasn't previously doable as a result of of the massive computational overhead and that i/O requirements. The system integrates visual analytics ways by letting users procedurally and interactively describe and extract high-level flow features. An exploration of various phenomena in a large global ocean-modeling simulation demonstrates the approach's generality and expressiveness furthermore its efficacy.
