Message Scheduling in an IoT Environment Based on Blockchain with a Second Fog Broker Layer

PROJECT TITLE :

Message Scheduling in Blockchain Based IoT Environment with Additional Fog Broker Layer

ABSTRACT:

Blockchain technology and the Internet of Things (IoT) have recently garnered a lot of interest from both academics and businesses as potential components for the development of a communication system that is secure, dependable, and robust. However, there is a challenge in figuring out what the appropriate role of blockchain should be in existing Internet of Things contexts while minimizing the associated implications. This body of work proposes a message schedule for a blockchain-based architecture that includes two access-level setting filters for incoming messages: critical and non-critical. These filters prioritize incoming messages based on their level of importance. The fog layer is broken up into two distinct sections in the researchers' proposed work: the action fog clusters and the blockchain fog clusters. In a manner analogous to the architecture of the Internet of Things, which consists of three layers, the action cluster and the main cloud data center collaborate on critical message requests. Only the specifications of the blockchain application are taken into consideration by the blockchain fog cluster. A fog broker is used in the fog layer to schedule critical and non-critical messages in the action fog cluster and the blockchain fog cluster, respectively. In this section, the suggested method is contrasted with the already established Dual Fog-IoT architecture. In addition to that, the solution is evaluated for its resource utilization in fog and cloud computing. The findings suggest that this architecture is practicable for varying percentages of receiving critical and non-critical messages. [Citation needed] [Citation needed] In addition to the advantages that are inherent to blockchain technology, the proposed paradigm lowers the rate at which data is lost by the system and offloads the cloud data center while requiring only minor adjustments to the already-established IoT ecosystem.
