ABSTRACT:
This text offers, for the first time, a whole description of the machine developed around 1850 by Jean-Baptiste Schwilgué (1776-1856) for the mechanical computation of arithmetic sequences, of specific use in setting gear-cutting machines. The second part in a 2-half series, this article presents the details behind the machine's basic operations.
